The nose is full with intense aromas of ripe berry fruits (strawberry, raspberry, redcurrant, blackberry). The mouth is balanced between fine bubbles and ripe fruits with the sweetness (no added sugar) and a little savoury adding roundness. Sensational summer refresher. Think of it as an aperitif. Optionally, add ice and a wedge of lemon - so refreshing. All the flair of an impressionist painting!
Enjoy very fresh and very cold straight out of the fridge.
85% Negrette and 15% Syrah. 8% alcohol.
Chill Flambant well and enjoy anytime of the day or for that special moment as an aperitif or dessert wine. A birthday, a celebration ….. all occasions are good for sharing the pleasure of this
soft, very fresh, slightly sparkling, delicate, naturally aromatic, light, rosé-coloured, low-alcohol, pleasantly sweet celebratory beverage that’s easy to enjoy. Flambant will put sparkle into your festivities and gatherings.
Flambant is its own story; the passion of two winemakers, their flair and imagination. Sparkling, surprising, full of flavour,
low 8% alcohol and with no equal. There has never been anything like this in NZ before - you just have to try this summer sensation.
Flambant does not have to be considered as a red wine, nor a rosé, or even as a wine! Enjoy as an aperitif to which you can add ice and a wedge of lemon - this is sensational. Or enjoy as a dessert wine with strawberries or an apple flan. Use it in a cocktail with just a little gin or vodka. Not too much so they don’t destroy the fruit aromas of Flambant.
Flambant is made by one of the new generation of dynamic and innovative winemakers of the Appellation Fronton. Nicolas Gelis also makes some of the most respected AOC Fronton wines. Fronton is just north of Toulouse in the South-West of France.

Nicolas Gelis and Fronton
GRAPE VARIETIES: The grapes are from the youngest vines in the estates and therefore the wine is very fruity and smooth. 85% Negrette and 15% Syrah. Negrette is the foundation grape of the Appellation Fronton wines.
VINIFICATION: Following selection of the ripest and most aromatic grapes, the fermentation follows at a controlled temperature of 10ºC. No sugar is added. The fermentation is then stopped early by cooling the wine. It is bottled immediately so the fermentation aromas are preserved. These processes make this wine quite unique.
