These red wines from the appellations Madiran, Cahors and Fronton are the worlds healthiest wines. Not only are these low-cropped, concentrated and rich wines made by craftsman winemakers, but authoritative UK research has identified the unique heart health protecting properties of these wines made from grapes such as Tannat. The local population in Gers have exceptional longevity, arguably equal to any other population in the world. This is the REAL French Paradox.
Did you know - The traditional manner in which these wines are made also means they are exceptionally food friendly wines. They are not like modern, soft, sweet, any-time drinking red wines. The traditional production methods means they are at their best with food and why they will create such elevated flavour experiences with food, by comparison to modern style reds.
