A new generation wine praised many times in the international press as a concept wine of the Madiran. First produced in 2000.
We have received a shipment of 2004 reserve stock from the estate. For those wanting a softer Madiran that is a
good quaffer with which food is NOT important, this is it.
Alain Brumont wanted to produce a new more modern and versatile style of Madiran. Torus is that wine - it retains power and depth sheathed in velvet, juicy and full of guts, concentrated, meaty and savoury with sweet blueberry and black fruit coulis roundness. A seductive wine which represents excellent value for money and a good but non-traditional introduction to Madiran AOC wines.
There is less tannin here for those that want an easier drinking Madiran red. Torus doesn’t need meat but works well with Mediterranean-inspired vegetable dishes.
