"Almost black with a nose well marked by preserved fruits, eau-de-vie fruits and spices, a strong but fresh and stylish palate, well-balanced and long." 2 stars (of 3 star system) - Guide Hachette
Domaine Moureou sets the standard for quality and affordability since we launched with the AOC Madiran range. Moureou 2006 is an excellent vintage that continues the same affordable quality from a similarly classic Madiran vintage as 2002 and 2004. Hence Dom. Mouroeu 06 is fruit driven with savoury flavours. It has the traditional balance of red berry fruits, oak and acidity. Enjoy now and to keep for up to 5 years.
Deep red colour, with shiny tints. A complex nose with notes of black fruit (cherry, blueberry) and spicy notes (tobacco, coffee, vanilla). Supple and intense on the palate, with delicate tannins. A pleasant fruity finish, similar to the fruit notes on the nose.
A generous wine that goes best with grilled red meats, stews and cheese.
